Lesson 3 of 8

Import every CV on your computer (Desktop Importer)

A small app for Windows and Mac that finds CVs in the folders you choose and adds them to Olibr in the background.

4 minbeginner

Most recruiters have hundreds of CVs on their computer — a Downloads folder full of Naukri files, email attachments, a shared drive. The Desktop Importer brings all of them into Olibr and keeps doing it as new ones arrive.

  1. 1
    Download the app

In Olibr, open Desktop Importer and click Windows or Mac. No admin rights are needed.

  2. 2
    Connect your computer

Open the app and click Connect to Olibr. It shows a code and opens the Olibr page with it filled in — or type it in yourself and click Connect.

  3. 3
    Choose your folders

Pick the folders where CVs land — Downloads, your Naukri folder, a shared drive. The app imports what's there now and every new CV after that.

  4. 4
    Carry on working

Imports run in the background. Each computer appears under Connected computers with how many candidates were added.

Good to know

  • AI reads every PDF and Word CV into a clean profile: name, contact, skills, experience, current company and notice period.
  • People already in your Olibr are skipped automatically — no duplicates.
  • A file that can't be read is listed with the reason, and you can Reprocess it.
  • Every new profile counts toward your monthly contribution.
Cost

Your company's first 20 profiles are free, then ₹5 per new candidate from your wallet. Duplicates and failed files are never charged.

Tip

On Windows you may see “Windows protected your PC” the first time — click More info → Run anyway.
