Lesson 2 of 4

How Olibr stays free: contribution explained

You keep Olibr free by sharing candidate profiles with the talent pool — 50 per active user every 30 days. Here's exactly how it works.

5 minbeginner

Most hiring software charges a monthly subscription. Olibr doesn't. Instead, every company that uses Olibr contributes candidate profiles to the shared talent pool. That pool is what you search in Search Talent — so everyone who contributes also benefits from everyone else's contributions.

The rule

50 profiles per active user, every 30 days

If you use Olibr alone, that's 50 profiles a month. A team of four active users contributes 200. Contributing doesn't earn credits or money — it simply keeps your access open.

What counts as a contributed profile

  • A real candidate with a name and an email address.
  • Someone who is new to Olibr — people already in the pool don't count.
  • Profiles that fail Olibr's quality check are skipped and don't count.

Your candidates stay private first

A contributed profile is visible only to your company for 30 days. If you're still working with that candidate, it stays private for another 14 days. After that, it joins the shared pool where other recruiters can find it.

Turn on automatic contribution once

You don't have to pick profiles by hand. Approve automatic contribution once, and Olibr shares new candidates as you add them — from CV uploads, CSV imports, the browser extension and manual adds — and stops as soon as your number for the month is reached. If new candidates don't cover it, Olibr tops up from eligible candidates you already hold.

Your first week

New companies get a free setup period of 7 days with the full ATS open: post jobs, add candidates, invite your team. Search Talent opens once you've made your first contribution — click Approve automatic contribution in the blue banner at the top of the page, and any eligible candidates you already have are contributed straight away. No candidates yet? Import a spreadsheet and they'll count as you save them.

What happens if I fall short?

Nothing changes in the middle of a cycle. If a 30-day cycle ends short, Olibr asks you to make up the gap before you continue — by approving automatic contribution, contributing from your database, or uploading CVs. Pricing, Settings, Help and support pages always stay open. A cycle in which nobody used Olibr is never counted against you.

The easy way to never think about it

Approve automatic contribution, then make adding candidates a habit — import a spreadsheet, upload CVs or save from LinkedIn and Naukri. Your contribution takes care of itself.
