Role Summary

We are hiring a Vice President – Legal (India) to lead legal, compliance, governance, risk, and regulatory matters for a global organization’s India operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead corporate, commercial, employment and regulatory legal matters.
• Advise leadership and HR on employment laws, contracts, policies, investigations and employee matters.
• Review and negotiate MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, vendor and client agreements.
• Ensure compliance with Companies Act, labor laws, SEZ/IT Park and outsourcing regulations.
• Drive DPDP, GDPR, CCPA and cross-border data privacy compliance.
• Manage disputes, legal notices, regulatory inquiries and external counsel.
• Partner with global legal, privacy, information security, HR and business teams.

Ideal Candidate

• 12–18 years of post-qualification legal experience.
• Strong in-house legal experience, preferably in BPO, outsourcing, IT/ITES or technology.
• Expertise in corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory and data privacy law.
• Strong contract negotiation, stakeholder management and risk assessment skills.
• Experience working with global/matrixed organizations preferred.
