Role Description The Team Leader Solid Waste Management is responsible for planning, overseeing, and coordinating solid waste management projects in Amritsar. This full-time, on-site role involves supervising project teams, managing daily field activities, and ensuring that waste collection, segregation, transport, and disposal operations follow regulatory and safety standards. The role includes developing work plans, monitoring performance, preparing technical and progress reports, and liaising with local authorities, clients, and stakeholders. The Team Leader will conduct site inspections, identify operational issues, recommend improvements, and ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety protocols. The position also requires mentoring team members, supporting community awareness initiatives, and contributing to continuous improvement of solid waste management practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with the ability to apply safety standards in field operations.
• Candidates should possess skills in Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
• Candidates should possess skills in Accident Investigation and Inspection, including the ability to analyze incidents and conduct systematic site assessments.
• Relevant experience in solid waste management, municipal services, or environmental engineering, preferably in on-site project leadership roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Public Health, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
• Strong project management, team supervision, and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in report writing, data analysis, and use of basic office and project management software.
• Familiarity with national and local regulations related to waste management and occupational health and safety.
