Social Media Manager Cum Project Lead

📍 Shram Shakti Bhawan, New Delhi (on-site) | 1 Position | Full-time, 1-year project (extendable)

We’re looking for an experienced leader with good communication skills to lead the media and social media team for the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti.

Key Responsibilities

Lead an 8-member team of graphic designers, video editors, a content writer, and photographers/videographers

Build the Department’s media strategy and a monthly Plan of Action

Manage X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn with 4+ posts daily per platform

Share content calendars 15 days in advance and coordinate approvals with the IEC Division

Achieve quarterly follower growth targets across platforms

Ensure 2-hour response time on public queries and track sentiment daily

Submit monthly MIS and analytics reports

Requirements

Post Graduate in Business Administration, preferably in Marketing, Mass Communication, Event Management, or Public Relations

8+ years of total experience, with at least 4 years in social media (6+ years preferred)

Proven experience leading teams on government, PSU, or large public-sector accounts

Strong knowledge of social media analytics and monitoring tools

Excellent communication in English and Hindi

Willingness to work government office hours and travel across India when required
