Senior/Research Associate - Organic Synthesis

Job Responsibilities

• Perform organic synthesis of APIs, pharmaceutical intermediates, and related compounds.
• Execute multi-step synthesis, reaction monitoring, work-up, isolation, and purification.
• Optimize reaction conditions to improve yield, purity, and process efficiency.
• Perform purification using crystallization, recrystallization.
• Monitor reactions using TLC and coordinate HPLC, GC, and other analytical testing.
• Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, batch records, and synthesis reports.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures, SOPs, and quality requirements.
• Support process development, troubleshooting, and scale-up activities.

Required Skills

• Strong practical knowledge of organic chemistry and synthetic methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in laboratory-scale synthesis and purification.
• Knowledge of reaction mechanisms, chemical calculations, and yield optimization.
• Familiarity with analytical data interpretation and pharmaceutical R&D practices.

Preferred Candidate

A motivated chemist with good practical laboratory skills, problem-solving ability, and experience in API or pharmaceutical intermediate synthesis.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
