Senior Sub-Editor

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with 5 to 8 years of experience in journalism, editing, or newspaper publishing, with strong editorial skills and a sound understanding of print production.

Key Responsibilities

Edit, rewrite, and refine news copy for clarity, accuracy, and readability Write crisp, compelling, and impactful headlines Fact-check, proofread, and maintain high editorial standards Handle breaking news and work efficiently under tight deadlines Work confidently with CMS and newsroom systems Have working knowledge of QuarkXPress and print page-making workflows Coordinate effectively with reporters and editorial teams

Required Skills :Excellent command of English and strong news judgment Proven experience in print journalism and copy editing Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced newsroom Knowledge of QuarkXPress is essential for print production
