Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Engineer (L2) to support enterprise network security infrastructure in a multi-vendor, hybrid managed services environment.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in firewall operations, VPN support, network security incident handling, security policy troubleshooting, and operational monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Level 2 support for enterprise network security infrastructure.

Monitor, investigate, and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, secure web access, proxy, AAA, and IDS/IPS solutions.

Manage and support Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) platforms.

Implement and validate firewall policies, NAT rules, VPN configurations, and access control changes.

Troubleshoot security policy, connectivity, authentication, and access-related issues.

Perform routine health checks, security monitoring, and performance analysis.

Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and resolve recurring operational issues.

Maintain documentation of incidents, configuration changes, SOPs, and troubleshooting activities.

Coordinate with L1/L3 teams, network teams, vendors, and clients for issue resolution.

Follow security standards, change management procedures, and operational SLAs.

Required Skills and Experience

36 years of experience in Security Operations, Firewall Operations, or Managed Security Services.

Hands-on experience with one or more of the following platforms

Palo Alto

FortiGate

Cisco FTD

Versa SSE / Cisco SSE

Strong understanding of firewall policy management, NAT, VPN, IDS/IPS, AAA, MFA, and secure remote access technologies.

Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, subnetting, ports, and protocols.

Experience with security incident handling, log analysis, traffic analysis, and packet-level troubleshooting.

Familiarity with ticketing tools, monitoring tools, and ITIL-based processes.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or any graduate qualification.

Preferred certifications

Fortinet NSE / FCP

PCNSA / PCNSE

CCNA / CCNP Security

Cisco Security or other relevant firewall/security certifications
