Senior Media & Communications Lead (Punjab)

About the Role

We are looking for a senior media professional who knows Punjab's political and media landscape from the inside. You will lead our media and communication strategy, manage our relationships with the press, and advise the team on the state's political and regional dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and lead media and communication strategy
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, news channels and media houses
• Manage press conferences, interviews and media coverage
• Track political developments, public sentiment and emerging narratives across Punjab
• Advise internal teams on constituencies, demographics and regional issues
• Lead crisis communication and reputation management
• Keep messaging consistent across teams and platforms

Who Should Apply

• 15 to 18 years in journalism, broadcast news, political media or strategic communications
• Background in a leading news channel is preferred
• Current or past role as Bureau Chief, Political Editor, Assignment Editor, News Editor or similar senior position
• Strong understanding of Punjab politics, constituencies and regional media
• An established network of journalists, editors, political correspondents and media houses across Punjab
• Fluent in Punjabi, Hindi and English
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable working under pressure on tight timelines
