Role Description The Senior Lawyer will handle a portfolio of litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal opinions, conducting in-depth legal research, and representing clients in court proceedings and negotiations. Responsibilities include managing case strategy, supervising junior legal staff, reviewing documents, preparing evidence, and advising clients on legal risks and options. The role also involves coordinating with external stakeholders such as opposing counsel, experts, and regulatory authorities, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and procedural rules. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chinthamani Madurai, requiring regular presence at the office and local courts.

Qualifications

• Strong litigation experience, including trial preparation, courtroom advocacy, and negotiation skills.
• Advanced legal research and writing abilities, with proficiency in drafting pleadings, briefs, contracts, and opinions.
• Sound knowledge of civil and procedural law, evidence rules, and relevant local and national regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize deadlines, and lead case strategy with minimal supervision.
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior lawyers or legal staff and working effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent analytical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Clear, professional communication skills for client counseling, negotiation, and courtroom presentation.
• Recognized law degree and valid license to practice law; prior experience as a senior associate or equivalent is highly preferred.
