Senior Firmware Engineer – Avionics

Company: Microair Avionics

Location: Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India

Department: Engineering

Experience: 8–10 years

Employment Type: Full-time

Reporting To: Engineering Manager

About the Role

Microair Avionics is looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer to lead the design, development, verification, and certification of embedded firmware for DO-178C DAL-A/B airborne systems.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role based at our Indore facility, working closely with engineering teams across Australia, the US, Ireland, and India.

You will own firmware architecture and implementation across the development lifecycle—from requirements and low-level design through coding, verification, structural coverage, certification evidence, and SOI audits.

The role will also involve leading and mentoring firmware engineers, establishing coding and design standards, conducting technical reviews, and representing Microair in technical discussions with customers, DERs, and certification authorities. F-440-03_A_Job_Description_-_Se…

  • Drive firmware development from concept through certified release.
  • Make technical decisions around firmware architecture, design, coding standards, and implementation.

Requirements & Traceability

  • Author and review High-Level Requirements (HLR) and Low-Level Requirements (LLR).
  • Maintain bidirectional traceability from system requirements through software implementation and verification.
  • Ensure certification evidence and delivery status remain current and audit-ready. F-440-03_A_Job_Description_-_Se…
