Role Description The Sales Attendant is a full-time, on-site role based at SHYAM SUPER STORE in Srinagar. Daily responsibilities include welcoming customers, assisting them in locating products, answering questions, and providing basic product information. The role involves handling billing and cash transactions at the counter, issuing receipts, and ensuring accurate cash management. The Sales Attendant will restock shelves, monitor inventory levels, maintain cleanliness in the sales area, and arrange products for clear display. Additional tasks may include supporting periodic stock counts, coordinating with other team members, and following store policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide courteous, patient, and helpful customer service, including clear communication with diverse shoppers.
• Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills, with attention to detail for billing, receipts, and daily reconciliation.
• Organizational skills to keep shelves stocked, products arranged, and the store environment clean and presentable.
• Reliability in following instructions, adhering to store procedures, and working effectively within a team.
• Willingness to stand for extended periods, move stock, and perform general physical tasks related to retail operations.
• Prior experience in retail or customer-facing roles is an advantage but not mandatory; training can be provided.
• Basic literacy in English or local language for reading labels, understanding instructions, and handling simple records.
• Availability to work full-time, including weekends or holidays as required by store schedule.
