To establish, implement, maintain and continually improve Sara Interiors Pvt. Ltd.’s integrated Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) arrangements across interior fit-out, refurbishment, office and bank rollouts, MEP coordination and turnkey projects. The role supports consistent quality delivery, prevention of injuries and occupational ill health, prevention of pollution, compliance with applicable requirements, effective contractor control and reliable project handover.

Key Responsibilities

> Quality assurance and quality control

· Develop, implement and maintain project quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), checklists, method statements and quality records in coordination with Project Managers and site teams.

· Review contract requirements, approved drawings, specifications, finish schedules, samples, mock-ups and acceptance criteria before work begins.

· Coordinate material submittals and approvals; verify deliveries against approved specifications, purchase orders, certificates and condition requirements.

· Plan and conduct site quality inspections for relevant fit-out activities, including partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, painting, glazing, fixtures and MEP interfaces.

· Ensure hold points and witness points are identified and released before work is concealed or proceeds to the next stage.

· Raise and track nonconformance reports (NCRs), defects and snags; coordinate root-cause analysis, corrective action, reinspection and closure.

· Monitor rework, repeat defects, inspection acceptance and material damage; recommend preventive actions and lessons learned.

· Maintain traceable quality records, test results, approved submittals, as-built information, operation and maintenance documents, warranties and handover evidence.

> Health and safety management

· Maintain project HSE plans, hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA), job safety analyses (JSA), safe work methods and permit-to-work arrangements.

· Identify and control risks associated with work at height, electrical activities, hot work, power tools, lifting and manual handling, dust, chemicals, concealed services and work in occupied premises.

· Verify that contractors and subcontractors provide competent personnel, appropriate training, inspected equipment, suitable PPE, task risk assessments and method statements.

· Coordinate inductions, toolbox talks, safety briefings, worker consultation and communication of changing site conditions.

· Conduct site inspections and audits; record findings, assign corrective actions and verify closure.

· Coordinate emergency preparedness, first-aid and fire arrangements, evacuation routes, emergency contacts and drills in line with client/building procedures.

· Ensure incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions and occupational health concerns are reported, investigated and followed by corrective action.

· Exercise stop-work authority or escalate immediately when serious risk, missing critical controls or unsafe conditions are identified.

> Environmental management

· Maintain project environmental aspects-and-impacts registers and environmental management plans.

· Implement controls for waste segregation, reuse and recycling, authorised waste handling, dust, noise, odour, spills, chemical storage and drain protection.

· Promote efficient use of materials, water and energy and reduction of packaging, damage and avoidable rework.

· Verify that waste and special/hazardous waste streams are handled through appropriate approved or authorised routes where required; retain collection and transfer records.

· Respond to environmental incidents and complaints, coordinate containment and clean-up, investigate causes and track corrective actions.

> Integrated management system and compliance

· Support development, implementation and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS) aligned with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), where adopted by the company.

· Maintain controlled policies, procedures, registers, forms, records and revision history; ensure current approved documents are available to relevant users.

· Identify applicable legal, statutory, regulatory, client, landlord and contractual requirements with competent internal or external support; maintain compliance evidence.

· Plan and coordinate internal audits, site inspections, management reviews and follow-up actions.

· Monitor objectives and KPIs, analyse trends, report significant risks and performance to management, and recommend improvement actions.

· Coordinate certification readiness and external audit logistics when directed; ensure the certification body remains independent and that no certification status is claimed before it is granted.

> Project and contractor coordination

· Integrate quality and HSE requirements into project mobilisation, procurement, work sequencing, coordination meetings and project close-out.

· Review contractor work plans and coordinate interfaces between trades, especially ceiling closure, service penetrations, electrical energisation, hot work, deliveries and occupied-area work.

· Coordinate with clients, project management consultants, designers, building management and subcontractors on inspections, permits, access, shutdowns and acceptance requirements.

· Ensure lessons learned from defects, incidents, complaints and audits are communicated and reflected in updated controls and training.

Qualifications and Experience

· Degree or diploma in engineering, construction, quality, occupational safety, environmental management or a related discipline; relevant statutory safety qualification where required for the assigned role.

· Relevant experience in construction, interior fit-out, commercial projects, facilities or MEP coordination; seniority to reflect company-wide versus site-only responsibility.
