Property Accounting Manager

We are seeking a senior-level Property Accounting Manager to lead property accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and team performance. The ideal candidate has extensive experience supporting U.S. property management companies and can oversee accounting operations while partnering with leadership and property owners.

AppFolio experience is required. Candidates without it will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee property-level financial reporting, month-end close, and financial statement reviews.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance analysis.
• Manage and review the work of the accounting team.
• Partner with U.S. property managers and owners to explain financial results.
• Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee accounting workflows and effective use of AppFolio.

Requirements

• Mandatory: Hands-on AppFolio experience. Candidates without it will not be considered.
• Mandatory : 8-10 years of experience in accounting
• Significant experience in property or real estate accounting.
• Prior experience working directly with U.S. clients, preferably U.S. property management companies, is required.
• Proven experience leading accounting teams or overseeing accounting operations.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills

This is a senior accounting leadership role, not a bookkeeping position. We are looking for someone who can independently manage accounting operations, lead a team, and confidently work with U.S. clients
