Role Description

The News Writer/Producer is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida. This role involves monitoring breaking news and trending topics, researching stories, and writing clear, engaging scripts for short video segments. The News Writer/Producer will coordinate with video editors, hosts, and other team members to plan daily content, develop story angles, and ensure timely publication. Responsibilities include drafting news copy and press materials, fact-checking all information, maintaining editorial standards, and adapting complex topics into concise, audience-friendly formats. The role also requires participating in editorial meetings, contributing ideas for new formats, and helping optimize content for digital platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong news writing skills, including the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging scripts for audio-visual content.
• Excellent Communication skills in English (written & verbal).
• Background in journalism or experience producing or reporting news content will be a preference.
• Proficiency in writing press releases and other news-related materials.
• The ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Relevant academic background in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom environment & meet tight deadlines.
• Strong research and fact-checking abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with digital media platforms and basic understanding of audience engagement and content performance metrics.
