Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jaipur for a News Anchor cum Reporter. The role involves presenting daily news bulletins, hosting live segments, and conducting on-camera interviews in Hindi on topics related to politics, society, and national interest.

The News

Anchor cum Reporter will research and develop news stories, gather field reports, verify facts, and write scripts and news copy for broadcast and digital platforms. Daily tasks include coordinating with newsroom editors and producers, preparing for live coverage, and updating developing stories with accurate information. The role also requires engaging with audiences through clear, impartial delivery, adhering to journalistic ethics, and meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic newsroom environment.

Qualifications

• Strong reporting skills, including field reporting, story development, and fact-checking.
• Broadcasting and Presenter skills for live news delivery, interviews, and studio anchoring.
• News Writing and Broadcast Journalism skills for crafting clear, engaging scripts and packages.
• Excellent Hindi communication skills; working proficiency in English is an advantage.
• Prior experience in television or digital news media preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field is beneficial.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple stories, and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong ethical judgment, impartiality, and commitment to responsible journalism.
• Comfort with camera presence and familiarity with newsroom workflows and digital publishing tools.
