Network Engineer Trainee

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network device performance and availability, primarily focusing on Cisco networking equipment.
• Perform initial analysis and troubleshooting of network connectivity and TCP/IP protocol issues.
• Assist in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of network devices, adhering to established Cisco IOS best practices.
• Support the implementation and daily management of network security policies on various network security devices.
• Contribute to the documentation of network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Participate in vulnerability scanning activities for network infrastructure, assisting with data collection and initial reporting using platforms like Tenable (Nessus).
• Collaborate with senior network engineers on security projects, including network segmentation and access control initiatives.
• Provide initial support during network-related security incidents, assisting with log review and data collection.

Requirements

• 0-1 years of professional experience in network operations or a related technical field.
• Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (Btech) degree.
• Demonstrable foundational understanding of networking concepts, including CCNA curriculum principles.
• Proficiency in Cisco networking fundamentals and basic Cisco IOS commands.
• Solid grasp of TCP/IP protocol suite, including addressing, subnetting, routing, and common services.
• Ability to analyze network traffic and interpret network diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude and a drive for continuous learning in cybersecurity.
• This is an onsite role based in Gurugram.
