Method Engineer

Method Engineer to interpret engineering drawings and parts lists to capture Bill of Materials (BOM), identify appropriate manufacturing methods per engineering requirements, flag special operations/requirements from drawings, and perform preliminary Make/Buy classification aligned to current strategy (training provided for Make/Buy). Contract role based in Hyderabad, targeting 4–10 years’ experience.

Responsibilities

• Capture the bill of materials from parts lists and engineering drawings
• Identification of the manufacturing method as per engineering requirements
• Identify any special operations or requirements from engineering drawings
• Preliminary classification of Make/Buy according to the current strategy (Training will be provided)

Requirements

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• BOM (Bill of Materials) creation/capture from parts lists and drawings
• Manufacturing method/process identification based on engineering requirements
• Ability to identify special operations/requirements from drawings (e.g., heat treatment, coating, welding, tolerances)
• Basic understanding of Make/Buy classification concepts
