Hiring: Marine Crewing & Ship Management Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Marine Crewing & Ship Management Consultant to support an upcoming customer engagement.

Experience: 2-3 Years

Engagement: Consulting / Contract

Duration: 2–3 Months

Working Hours: Approx. 3 hours/day

Work Mode: Remote, with travel to client locations in India as required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on marine crewing and ship management processes
• Support customer meeting preparation, presentations, process flows, and documentation
• Review existing workflows and identify operational gaps and improvement opportunities
• Advise on crew planning, recruitment, onboarding, crew changes, compliance, and personnel management
• Develop and review SOPs, process documentation, and operating procedures
• Participate in customer discussions and provide industry-specific expertise
• Support follow-up discussions and documentation after customer meetings

Required Expertise

• End-to-end marine crewing operations
• Fleet manpower planning and crew scheduling
• Seafarer recruitment, onboarding, and retention
• Crew change management
• MLC 2006 & Flag State compliance
• Seafarer documentation and certification
• Oil Major / vetting requirements
• Crew travel, visa, and immigration management
• Manning agency and vendor coordination
• Ship-owner and vessel stakeholder management
• Crewing management systems
• SOP and process documentation

Candidate Profile

8+ years of hands-on experience in Marine Crewing, Ship Management, Personnel Management, or related maritime operations

Experience managing crewing operations across multiple vessels

Experience with Gas Tankers, Oil Tankers, Chemical Tankers , or similar vessel segments preferred

Strong knowledge of maritime compliance and seafarer lifecycle management

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Strong documentation, presentation, and analytical skills

Ability to provide practical industry recommendations independently

Experience with leading maritime organisations such as Synergy Marine Group, Kamaxi Overseas Consultants , or comparable ship-management/marine crewing organisations will be considered relevant.
