Manager – People Development & Administration

IT for Change (ITfC) is an NGO whose mission is to end digital inequality and advance just, equitable, and people-led digital futures for the Global South.

ITfC works through three strategic program areas: Gender and Digital Empowerment, Public EdTech, and Just Digital Governance.

Across these program areas, ITfC builds community-owned digital models, shapes public discourse on digital rights, and strengthens the capacity of public institutions and civil society to design more accountable, inclusive digital ecosystems.

Essential qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related discipline
• 8+ years of relevant experience in HR Operations, Administration or HR & Admin roles
• Strong knowledge of HR operations and processes

Key skills

• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Sensitivity in employee interactions and discretion in handling confidential information

Preference will be given to candidates who have

• Experience in the NGO/development/social sector
• Proficiency in HRMS/payroll systems and MS Office/Google Workspace
• Familiarity about labour-law and statutory compliance

Responsibilities

• Manage employee-specific processes (inductions, work reviews, exits), leave and attendance, databases, and engagement
• Support statutory compliance and documentation with relevant labour and employment laws
• Ensure consistent implementation of admin policies and smooth day-to-day admin functioning
• Coordinate with the Finance team to process invoices and payments with vendors and service providers, and for internal and external audits
• Oversee travel-related requirements of employees for organizational meetings, workshops and events
