Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Journalism Intern to join our editorial team. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of journalism. You will work closely with our experienced reporters and editors, contributing to various aspects of the news production process.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist with research and fact-checking for news stories and feature articles.
• Gathering information, conducting interviews, and developing story ideas.
• Write and edit articles, blog posts, and other content as assigned. Participate in editorial meetings and provide input on story development.
• Help with social media management and audience engagement.
• Assist in the preparation of multimedia content, including photos and videos.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of research and source materials.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed, such as data entry and managing press contacts.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.Strong writing, editing, and research skills.
• Familiarity with news writing standards and ethical journalism practices.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using content management systems and social media platforms.
• Basic multimedia tools and software knowledge are a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiasm for current events and a passion for journalism.
