Java Developer - Backend/API Developer

Location: PCS CHE, Chennai

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with a strong background in the commercial banking domain. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and support of enterprise applications, focusing on performance, stability, and scalability. This role requires a deep understanding of Java development, SQL, and proficiency in technologies such as Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex features, modules, and services.
• Own end-to-end implementation (design, code, test, deploy).
• Review and refactor legacy code for maintainability.
• Work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Mandatory Skills

• Core Java & Spring Boot / Microservices - Advanced
• End-to-End Development (Design to Deployment) - Advanced
• Debugging, Troubleshooting & Code Refactoring - Advanced
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs - Advanced
• AWS with deployment experience - Advanced (Deal Breaker)

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of database technologies and SQL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Java development, preferably in the banking sector.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
