Apurva.ai is a Bengaluru-based not-for-profit housed under the Centre for Exponential Change (C4EC) Foundation. We are a sense-making infrastructure for systems change, enabling organisations and change leaders to see problems at scale and solve at scale.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Head of Strategic Operations & Impact to define what impact and success will look like for Apurva adopters, build the systems to measure it, and drive institutional accountability. Operating as a strategic peer to leadership, this role will oversee both internal organisational alignment and external impact evaluation, ensuring that every internal milestone and external partnership directly advances Apurva’s macro vision.

Key Responsibilities

Define & Architect the Impact Framework

• Design a bespoke Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) framework from first principles to measure platform-led, systemic change.
• Build the internal data systems and dashboards required for continuous, evidence-based impact tracking.

Transformation Tracking with Partners

• Engage deeply with external partner organisations (NGOs, governments, and foundations) to co-create their institutional transformation journeys with Apurva.
• Co-design success metrics with external stakeholders to ensure their initiatives remain aligned with Apurva’s broader systemic goals.

Internal Governance & Accountability

• Translate Apurva’s long-term vision into concrete, cross-functional Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
• Establish a rigorous cadence of reviews to monitor organisational velocity, hold internal teams accountable to their goals, and eliminate operational drift.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience: 10+ years leading strategic governance, or evaluation frameworks within NGOs, or venture philanthropy.
• Executive Gravitas: Comfortable holding senior teams accountable internally, while effectively engaging with leaders of external organizations.
• Command of Accountability: A proven comfort level with enforcing operational discipline, challenging leadership assumptions with data, and maintaining objective oversight.
