Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineer with hands-on experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HT and LT electrical systems. The candidate should be capable of working independently at project sites and coordinating with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out testing and commissioning of HT/LT panels, transformers, cables, breakers, relays, motors, DG systems, and earthing systems.
• Perform testing of protection relays, CTs, PTs, ACBs, VCBs, MCCBs, and control circuits.
• Conduct insulation resistance, contact resistance, primary injection, secondary injection, relay testing, breaker timing, tan delta, VLF, and functional tests.
• Review SLDs, control wiring diagrams, protection schemes, and interlock logic.
• Prepare testing reports, commissioning checklists, snag lists, and handover documents.
• Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, clients, and project teams for smooth commissioning.
• Support troubleshooting during energization and plant startup.
• Ensure all testing activities follow safety procedures, permit systems, and applicable standards.

Required Experience

• 2 to 6 years of experience in electrical testing and commissioning.
• Experience in industrial, commercial, data center, substation, or infrastructure projects will be preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of HT and LT electrical systems.

Qualification

• BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Omicron 3-phase testing kit, tan delta kit, breaker timing kit, and VLF testing kit.
• Knowledge of HT substations, DG synchronization, UPS systems, and power distribution.
• Good communication and report preparation skills.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be technically sound, site-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of handling testing and commissioning activities with minimum supervision.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
