Electrical Engineer (Site)

Job highlights

• Proven experience as Electrical Engineer on EPC sites with knowledge of electrical codes, AutoCAD, and technical documentation
• Review electrical installation drawings, supervise site electrical works, coordinate with contractors, inspect installations, and manage project documentation
• Review and check all assigned project electrical installation drawings for compliance with all company and project instructions (Single-line diagrams, General Arrangement Drawings, Cable schedules, electrical equipment location drawings, plan layouts, schematics, circuit drawings etc.)
• Assist in the development of project schedules and manpower requirements.
• Review and checking of technical vendor submittals for installation requirements.
• Confer with engineers, clients, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products.
• Direct and coordinate purchase, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Inspect completed installations and quality related observations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
• Fully responsible for the monitoring of execution of all electrical works at project site.
• Site management, supervision, surveying, Quality control, of all Electrical Works required in the building construction.
• Maintain day to day record of progress related to Electrical Works at site and maintain all documents as required.
• Co-ordinate with Electrical Contractor to ensure that the Electrical Items / Materials are utilized properly with minimum wastage and also ensure that the desired safety norms are always maintained in the execution of work.
• To ensure that Quantity take-off is fully supported by measurement sheets.
• Checking of Electrical Contractor Bills.Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• Proven experience in working as an Electrical Engineer on Site and in EPC projects
• Flexible, hardworking, highly motivated person, capable of taking initiatives on his own.
• Sound understanding electrical engineering concepts.
• Should be able to write & understand good technical documentation in English
• Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD or similar programs.
• Understands and adheres to budget, schedule, and quality requirements
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts.
