Role Description This full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role is based at Jaiprakash Hospital & Research Centre in Rourkela.

The Electrical

Engineer will oversee the hospital’s electrical systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of power supply and distribution. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining electrical infrastructure, troubleshooting faults, coordinating repairs, and supporting upgrades to equipment and power systems. The role also involves collaborating with facilities, biomedical, and operations teams, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements, and assisting in planning for future electrical capacity and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering and Electricity principles.
• Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design, including layout, specification, and review of electrical systems for healthcare facilities.
• Candidates should possess experience with Power Distribution, including low- and high-voltage systems and emergency power backup.
• Candidates should possess understanding of Power Systems, including load analysis, power quality, and safety protections.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience in hospital or large commercial/industrial facilities is an advantage.
• Knowledge of electrical safety codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to work collaboratively on-site.
