Cross Border Tech Compliance Adviso

Role Description This is an on-site internship role for a Cross Border Tech Compliance Advisor based in Mumbai. The intern will support the review and analysis of international technology regulations, data protection laws, and cross-border compliance requirements affecting digital products and services. Daily activities include conducting legal and regulatory research, preparing summaries and briefing notes, assisting in drafting internal policies and client-facing documentation, and maintaining up-to-date compliance trackers. The role also involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to map regulatory obligations to tech processes, helping identify risk areas, and supporting the implementation of compliance measures. The intern will participate in team meetings, contribute to presentations, and assist in preparing reports and documentation for internal and external use.

Qualifications

• Strong research and analytical abilities, including the capacity to interpret regulations, guidelines, and policy documents.
• Knowledge or coursework in law, compliance, international business, technology policy, or related fields.
• Interest in technology, data protection, cybersecurity, and cross-border regulatory frameworks.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Proficiency with productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, document management tools) and ability to work with structured data.
• Detail-oriented mindset, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment in Mumbai and demonstrate professional ethics and discretion.
• Current enrollment in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program; prior internship or project experience in compliance, legal research, or technology consulting is an advantage.
