Function: Accounts Payable (AP) & Fixed Asset Accounting

Roles & Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) activities, including vendor invoice processing, verification, accounting and payment coordination.
• Perform vendor reconciliation, resolve invoice/payment discrepancies and monitor outstanding vendor balances.
• Ensure correct accounting of purchase invoices, debit/credit notes, advances and expenses.
• Manage Fixed Asset Accounting, including capitalization, asset creation, transfers, disposals and retirement of assets.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and ensure proper asset classification and documentation.
• Calculate and account for depreciation as per applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Handle CWIP (Capital Work-in-Progress) accounting and timely capitalization of completed projects/assets.
• Support periodic physical verification of fixed assets and reconcile physical assets with the books/FAR.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities related to AP and fixed assets.
• Prepare AP ageing, fixed asset schedules, reconciliations and MIS reports.
• Ensure proper GL reconciliation for vendor, AP, fixed asset, depreciation and related accounts.
