Construction Site Manager

We are building two villa projects in Karjat - Trulife at Tadwadi and Goodlife at Kothimbe. We are looking for one person to run both sites: living at site, with real authority over execution, reporting directly to the founder.

The work

• Run day-to-day construction at both sites - manpower, material, sequence, quality, closure.
• Lead 10 to 15 engineers and supervisors, and 100 to 150+ workers across multiple contractors.
• Plan the week before it starts. Schedule, material indents, manpower, contractor commitments - fixed in advance, not decided on the morning.
• Send daily and weekly MIS to our head office in Vashi: progress against plan, manpower on site, material position, what is blocked.
• Hold quality. Check the work, and make it redone when it is not right.
• Meet customers who come to site. Villa buyers want to speak to someone senior and want a straight answer on their handover date. You will be that person.
• Keep contractors moving. Settle problems at site rather than escalating all of them.

What we are looking for

• 12 to 18 years on construction sites, with at least the last 5 running a project independently.
• Proven team size: 10+ engineers and supervisors, 100+ workers on site at peak.
• Experience at sites in Maharashtra.
• Diploma or degree in civil engineering.
• Fluent Hindi and Marathi. Able to hold a proper conversation with a customer in English.
• Someone who plans ahead rather than firefights, and who gets work finished on a date.

What we provide

• Stay and food at site.
• Rs 70,000 to Rs 1,20,000 per month, depending on what you have actually run.
• A direct line to the founder, and the authority to run the site your way.

Being straight with you

This is six days a week, long days, and you will live at site through the week, away from home. The sites are in Karjat, not in a city. If that does not suit you, this is not your job. If you have done it before and you enjoy running a site properly - planned, clean, on date - you will like it here.
