Community and Operations Manager

Location: Pune | Full-time

HEF Pune District is looking for a highly proactive, execution-focused professional to run the day-to-day operations and growth of the chapter.

Key Responsibilities

• Run regular committee meetings, reminders, MoMs and action-item follow-ups.
• Ensure commitments are tracked and closed on time.
• Welcome and onboard every new HEF member.
• Maintain a detailed member directory covering business, capabilities, requirements and opportunities.
• Use AI/tools to identify and recommend meaningful member-to-member business connections.
• Drive member engagement and participation across HEF activities.
• Plan and execute monthly meetups and other HEF events.
• Manage the social-media/content calendar with support from interns.
• Run initiatives such as Member of the Week, member spotlights and success stories.
• Build and track sponsorship, partnership and membership-growth pipelines.
• Coordinate with committee heads, speakers, sponsors, partners and volunteers.
• Manage 2 interns initially and gradually build the HEF Pune execution team.

Who We Are Looking For

Someone who is

• Extremely proactive and strong at follow-up.
• Organised and comfortable handling multiple activities simultaneously.
• Confident speaking with entrepreneurs, CEOs and senior professionals.
• Good at communication, relationship management and event execution.
• Comfortable with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, CRM tools and AI tools such as ChatGPT.
• Entrepreneurial and willing to take ownership rather than wait for instructions.

Preferred experience: 3–7 years in community management, startup ecosystem, business development, events, partnerships, programme management or founder/CEO office roles.
