Civil Structural Engineer

Role Description This temporary Civil Structural Engineer role at Mapleedge Construction is a hybrid position based in North Goa, with a mix of on-site work and some work from home. The Civil Structural Engineer will perform structural analysis and design for buildings and infrastructure, prepare drawings and technical documentation, and review plans for compliance with safety codes and standards. Daily tasks include collaborating with project managers, architects, and site teams, checking contractor work against design specifications, and assisting with structural calculations and design revisions as needed. The role also involves monitoring project progress, addressing technical queries, supporting quality assurance processes, and participating in site inspections to ensure structural integrity and constructability.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to practical construction scenarios.
• Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design and Structural Analysis, including use of relevant design codes and analysis software.
• Experience in Project Management, with skills in planning, coordination, and tracking deliverables across multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Knowledge of local building codes, standards, and safety regulations applicable to construction projects in India.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, prepare technical reports, and communicate clearly with site staff and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with CAD and structural design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD, ETABS or similar) is highly beneficial.
