Chief Operating Officer(COO) For (EU GMP) Pharma formulation co. Pune

Job Description The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for leading the overall operations, manufacturing strategy, and sustainable growth of Veko Care Pvt. Ltd.

The incumbent will drive operational excellence, ensure strict regulatory compliance, and align the companys manufacturing capabilities with its broader business and profitability goals. Owning the operational strategy, the COO will lead the organization toward process innovation, robust supply chain management, and enhanced productivity across all formulations.

Key Responsibilities

Focus Area Core Responsibilities

Operational &Manufacturing Leadership

• Oversee all manufacturing operations, quality systems, supply
• chain management, and engineering parameters.
• Drive operational efficiency through lean manufacturing, process
• excellence, and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with plant heads, R& D, QA/QC, and production
• teams to ensure timely delivery and seamless execution.

Strategy &P& L Alignment

• Develop and implement long-term operational strategies and
• annual business plans aligned with Veko Care's growth objectives.
• Drive cost-optimization, resource utilization, and productivity
• programs to safeguard bottom-line profitability.
• Establish robust performance metrics across all operational and
• functional heads.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure unconditional adherence to national and international statutory regulations, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing

Practices (GMP).

• Maintain flawless safety, health, and environmental (EHS)

standards across manufacturing units.

• Manage regulatory readiness for audits and quality scorecards.

People Management & Governance

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations and plant management team.
• Foster a workplace culture rooted in accountability, innovation, and integrity.
• Provide comprehensive performance updates and strategic MIS reporting to the Board and Executive Leadership.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Operational Efficiency: Yield improvements, strict cost optimization, and excellent On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery metrics.
• Compliance Standards: Exceptional scores in regulatory, GMP, and quality audits.
• Financial Contribution: Successful execution of operational budgets and optimization of cost centers.
• Talent Development: High employee engagement, successful succession
• planning, and minimal attrition within critical plant roles.
• Innovation: Successful deployment.

Compensation and Reporting

• Compensation: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
• and industry benchmarks.
• Reporting: Reports directly to the Managing Director / Board of Directors of Veko Care Pvt. Ltd.

Key Skill

• Experience 20+ years of total experience within the Pharmaceutical Formulations sector.
• Proven track record in a senior leadership/operations head role managing multi-site plant operations.
• Exposure to domestic markets as well as highly regulated international
