Job Description – Business Development Executive (Retail)

About The Role

Purplle is looking for a Business Development Executive to drive retail expansion across Tamil Nadu. The role involves identifying new store locations, conducting market analysis, negotiating commercial terms, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure successful new store openings.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential locations for new store openings based on business requirements, market potential, and competitor analysis.
• Coordinate with property owners, brokers, and landlords to negotiate commercial terms, lease agreements, and secure suitable retail spaces.
• Conduct catchment analysis, footfall assessment, and market research to recommend locations that align with the company's expansion strategy.
• Work closely with the Projects, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Store Operations teams to ensure timely store setup and successful launch.
• Maintain all property-related documentation, approvals, and MIS reports while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders throughout the expansion process.
• Monitor the progress of new store openings, track project timelines, prepare status reports, and ensure all expansion milestones are completed as planned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Business Development, Retail Expansion, Site Acquisition, New Store Opening (NSO), or Commercial Leasing.
• Experience in Retail, Beauty & Cosmetics, FMCG, Fashion, Lifestyle, or QSR industries is preferred.
