Zeta is hiring an Associate-level legal professional to advise on technology contracts, SaaS agreements, IP and employment matters. Location: Mumbai / Bengaluru. The role suits lawyers with 4 years of post-qualification experience at a top-tier law firm or in a technology company.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and manage SaaS agreements with customers and vendor agreements with SaaS providers.
• Advise on employment law, IP portfolio management and transactional support.
• Provide legal advice and risk solutions for business operations across jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with internal teams (management, Finance, HR, InfoSec) and external parties (clients, vendors, investors).
• Manage external legal advisors.
• Improve legal templates and simplify drafting for faster turnaround and easier understanding by non-lawyers.

Skills Required

• Strong grasp of SaaS MSAs, Professional Services Agreements and Software Development Agreements.
• Knowledge of data protection and intellectual property law.
• Ability to explain contract risks to non-lawyers.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Degree (Mandatory): 5-year BA.LLB (Hons) from a reputed national law university/college
• Degree (Optional): LLM in technology law from a reputed international university
• Experience: 4 years PQE at a top-tier law firm (preferably technology practice), and/or as in-house counsel at a technology company (SaaS preferred)
• Preference: Candidates with law firm experience currently working in-house
