16 wheel lorry Transport Manager

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Fleet Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 16-wheel lorry fleet. The candidate will be responsible for vehicle deployment, driver management, trip planning, maintenance, fuel monitoring, documentation, and ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Fleet Operations
• Manage the daily operations and movement of all 16-wheel lorries.
• Plan vehicle allocation, trip schedules, routes, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor vehicle movements and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Coordinate loading, unloading, dispatch, and delivery activities.
• Minimise vehicle downtime and improve fleet utilisation.
• Driver Management
• Allocate trips and routes to drivers.
• Monitor driver attendance, performance, discipline, and safety.
• Ensure drivers follow traffic rules and company policies.
• Coordinate with drivers regarding delays, breakdowns, and emergencies.
• Ensure drivers possess valid heavy vehicle driving licences and required documents.
• Vehicle Maintenance
• Schedule regular servicing and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor tyre condition, engine performance, brakes, and other critical components.
• Coordinate repairs with workshops and service centres.
• Maintain vehicle-wise service, repair, and breakdown records.
• Ensure vehicles are roadworthy before every trip.
• Fuel and Expense Control
• Monitor diesel consumption and mileage for every vehicle.
• Check fuel bills, toll expenses, trip expenses, and repair costs.
• Identify and report unusual fuel consumption or expenses.
• Maintain trip-wise income and expenditure records where applicable.
• Help reduce unnecessary operating costs.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience and fleet size.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
