Writer And Researcher

We’re hiring: Writer & Researcher

The Creators Index is looking for a Writer & Researcher to join our team in Mumbai.

This role is for someone who enjoys going beyond the headline.

Someone who can look at a creator-economy story and ask

What is actually happening here?

Why does it matter?

Who should we speak to?

What is the useful story behind the obvious one?

You’ll be covering the business of India’s creator economy, including creator monetisation, brand deals, platform economics, talent agencies, influencer marketing and the way creator businesses are evolving.

What you’ll work on

• Research and write 3-4 articles every day
• Turn search opportunities into useful editorial stories, not keyword-filled filler
• Research creators, brands, agencies, platforms and industry developments
• Speak with people actually involved in the story when required
• Work with the editorial and SEO teams on the content calendar
• Fact-check reports, claims, statistics and industry information
• Find credible primary sources, reports and platform documentation
• Explain creator-economy developments in a way that is useful to creators and industry professionals
• Track changes across monetisation, platforms, partnerships and creator businesses

We’d like to hear from you if

You can research deeply, write clearly and know the difference between repeating information and actually understanding it.

You should be comfortable with

research, interviews, numbers, reports, SEO and editorial writing.

A genuine interest in the creator economy, digital media, marketing or internet businesses will help.

About AI

Yes, we use AI.

Use it to search faster, work through documents and make research more efficient.

But if AI is doing the thinking and writing for you, this role will not work.

We’re looking for judgement, curiosity and a writing voice of your own.

Location: Mumbai

Type: Full-time, in-house

Joining: Immediate

How to apply

Send us 1–2 research-led writing samples.

No CV required for the first step.
