WMX Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced WMX Technical Architect to lead the architecture, design, integration, and technology strategy for Wesco's Warehouse Management Execution (WMX) platform. The role will be responsible for driving scalable, secure, and high-performing warehouse management solutions while enabling digital transformation across distribution and supply chain operations.

The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in Warehouse Management Systems, enterprise application architecture, and modern Java-based technologies. This individual will provide technical leadership across product development, integrations, cloud transformation initiatives, and operational support while partnering closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 3 years in a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or Lead Architect role.
• Strong experience implementing, supporting, and extending Warehouse Management Systems.
• Deep understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, fulfilment, logistics, and supply chain business processes.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale application and integration architectures.

Strong Java Expertise (Mandatory)

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE application development.
• Expert-level knowledge of:
• Java 11/17+
• Spring Boot
• Spring Framework
• Hibernate/JPA
• RESTful APIs
• Microservices Architecture
• Distributed Systems Design
• Experience building highly scalable, mission-critical enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, object-oriented design principles, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with asynchronous processing, event-driven architectures, and messaging technologies.

• Expertise in:

• Experience integrating WMS/WMX solutions with ERP, OMS, TMS, Procurement, and external partner systems.
• Strong understanding of system scalability, resiliency, performance tuning, and observability.

Cloud & Platform Experience

• Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Hands-on exposure to:
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• CI/CD Pipelines
• DevOps Practices
• Experience with modern cloud-native architecture patterns.
