Video Editor

Key Responsibilities

• Storytelling & Assembly: Review raw footage, audio tracks, and assets to edit compelling long-form and short-form video content tailored to specific audience touchpoints.
• Pacing & Flow: Structure video sequences with precise timing, rhythmic cuts, and smooth transitions to maintain audience engagement from start to finish.
• Motion Graphics & Animation: Create and integrate dynamic lower thirds, kinetic typography, title cards, dynamic transitions, and animated visual effects using After Effects.
• Sound Design & Audio Mixing: Clean audio, select background tracks, assemble sound effects (SFX), and balance audio mixes to enhance emotional impact and narrative quality.
• Visual Polish & Design: Apply design fundamentals—including color correction, color grading, visual hierarchy, grid layout, and typography—to ensure high visual aesthetic and brand alignment.
• Collaboration: Partner with creative directors, copywriters, and content strategists to translate storyboards and briefs into finalized media.
• Asset Management: Organize footage, maintain project folder structures, archive completed projects, and deliver exports optimized across various platforms (YouTube, social media, web, broadcast).

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional video editing experience (agency, in-house, or studio experience preferred).
• Portfolio / Reel: A strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing story structure, pacing, sound design, motion graphics, and color grading work.
• Technical Proficiency: High mastery of Industry-standard editing suites:
• Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) or DaVinci Resolve / Final Cut Pro.
• Motion Graphics Skills: Demonstrated ability to design and animate keyframe motion graphics, titles, and visual elements.
• Design Fundamentals: Solid foundation in color theory, graphic composition, visual balance, and clean typography integration.
• Audio Engineering Basics: Expertise in mixing dialogue, music, and ambient sound effects for clean audio output.
• Efficiency & Workflow: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to hit tight turnaround deadlines without sacrificing quality.
