Vice President, Site Reliability Engineer

The Company is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer at the Vice President level to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the non-functional and operational characteristics of the company's products and services. This includes ensuring high availability, performance, efficiency, and security, as well as driving change management, monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning. The role involves significant stakeholder interaction and collaboration with engineers to deliver changes in a safe and secure manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reliability systems thinking, software engineering, and a data-driven approach to problem-solving, with a focus on financial services.

Key responsibilities for the Site Reliability Engineer include working with feature teams to meet service level objectives, defining error budgets, and improving systems and environments. The role also involves providing structure to the release process, scaling systems through automation, and coaching colleagues. The candidate should have a proactive approach to contributing new ideas, managing risks, and be accountable for the health of production and non-production environments. Technical skills required include programming/scripting experience with Python, Go, or Bash, infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform preferred), and deep expertise in AWS and related technologies. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders are essential.
