Transaction Banking (Payments) Business Analyst

Contract role for an 8–10 years Payments Business Analyst in Transaction Banking, focused on front-end (mobile/browser) customer journeys and cross-border payments. The BA will lead requirements workshops and own epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, while supporting end-to-end delivery lifecycle activities including backlog grooming and risk/issues analysis. Strong exposure to payments operations, ISO 20022, FX/wallets, and compliance/regulatory payments across multiple geographies is expected. Immediate joiners or candidates with up to 30 days notice are preferred; prior HSBC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transaction Banking (Payments BA)- Mandate skill
• Immediate Joiner or Candidate max with 30 days NP
• Preferred past HSBC experience (not a mandate but preferred)
• Domain: Payments, Front End (App/Browser)-Strong customer journey exposure on Mobile or Browser
• Sub-domain: Cross Border Payments, FX engine, Wallets, Payment Operations, ISO20022, Compliance & Regulatory Payments exposure (More than 2 geographies)
• Agile exposure (at least 2 years or more), not just limited to Sprints and Scrum planning
• Pro at writing EPICS, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Running elaborate Requirement workshops, Backlog grooming
• Understand end to end delivery lifecycle and role of a BA at each lifecycle stage, command on risk & issues analysis

Requirements

• Business Analysis in Transaction Banking/Payments domain
• Front-end customer journey exposure on mobile apps and/or browser-based channels
• Cross-border payments domain knowledge
• ISO 20022 exposure
• Compliance and regulatory payments exposure across more than one geography
• Requirements elicitation and facilitation (running requirement workshops)
• Writing Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria
• Backlog grooming/refinement
• Agile ways of working exposure (2+ years; beyond basic sprint ceremonies)
• Understanding end-to-end delivery lifecycle and BA role across stages
• Risk and issues analysis/management (from BA perspective)
• Excellent communication skills
