About the Role

You will join our Abu Dhabi bid team as its technical lead for telecom. You will turn client RFQs/RFPs and EPC/EPCM telecom package specifications into compliant designs, BOQs and submission-ready proposals. The main focus is industrial Telecom Systems (TSL) packages, with support on AV and ELV bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Review ITBs, RFQs, SOWs and specifications; prepare compliance matrices, technical queries (TQs) and deviation lists
• Design and size industrial telecom systems: PAGA, CCTV (including hazardous area), access control and intrusion detection, LAN/WAN, fiber optic backbone, telephone/IP-PBX, radio (TETRA/DMR/VHF/UHF), meteorological systems and telecom equipment rooms
• Produce architecture and block diagrams, layouts, cable schedules, optical link budgets, PAGA SPL calculations and CCTV coverage studies
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC AGES/DGS, IEC, NFPA, BS EN and hazardous-area standards (ATEX/IECEx)
• Prepare BOQs, material take-offs and manhour estimates
• Issue vendor enquiries, evaluate offers and prepare technical bid evaluations (TBEs)
• Write technical proposal sections: methodology, system description, execution plan and schedule
• Support AV and ELV bids (video walls, conference rooms, control rooms, SMATV/IPTV, structured cabling)
• Support post-award work: IFR/IFC deliverables, vendor document review, FAT/SAT procedures and as-built inputs

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, or Telecommunication Engineering
• 6-10 years in telecom/ELV design, including at least 3 years on Oil & Gas EPC/EPCM telecom (TSL) packages
• Hands-on experience on 2-3 Oil & Gas projects covering the TSL package (FEED, detailed engineering, procurement support or tender stage)
• GCC experience is mandatory; ADNOC experience is strongly preferred
• Experience preparing tender proposals and BOQs, not only detailed design
• AutoCAD (mandatory) and MS Visio; Revit/BIM is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, fiber optics and structured cabling; advanced Excel for costing
• Excellent written English for technical proposals

Preferred

• Background with an EPC contractor or engineering consultancy
• BICSI RCDD, AVIXA CTS/CTS-D, CCNA or CompEx certification
• Experience with ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy, KOC/KNPC, PDO or BAPCO projects
