Job Description
- Plan, create and edit user guides for our products.
- Ensure technical content is well-formatted, grammatically correct, and professional.
- Help review and create UI text, such as tooltips, error messages, and labels for buttons/fields in the software.
- Create video tutorials to supplement the existing documentation.
- Gather continuous feedback from the business team and address their content requirements.
- Collaborate with other writers, designers, and developers to create marketing collaterals, such as blogs.
- Help developers and other members of the company who have documentation-related queries.
Job Responsibilities
- 3+ years of relevant experience in technical writing.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Proven experience in writing, editing, researching, and planning software documentation.
- Excellent skills in grammar, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Git commands and GitHub/GitLab for version control.
- Experience using static site generators and following docs-as-code method (in Sublime or VS Code).
- Familiarity with image and video-editing tools (Snagit/Photoshop, Filmora/Camtasia).
- Decent knowledge about HTML and CSS (need not be in a professional context).
- Confident to work with several teams in parallel.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge in the e-commerce domain will be a huge plus.
- Familiarity with API documentation.
