Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead – Full Stack & Platform to take end-to-end technical ownership of a secure, scalable and high-performance digital financial platform.

This role combines technical architecture, hands-on engineering and team leadership. The successful candidate will work across backend microservices, frontend applications, APIs, authentication, infrastructure and deployment while providing technical direction to the wider development team.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the overall technical architecture and engineering direction of the platform.
• Lead backend and frontend development teams.
• Design, develop and maintain scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices.
• Guide frontend development using Next.js, React and TypeScript.
• Define API architecture and third-party system integrations.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.
• Improve platform scalability, performance, reliability and maintainability.
• Establish coding standards, documentation practices and reusable development patterns.
• Translate business and product requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Oversee integrations related to payments, wallets, KYC/KYB, AML and financial reconciliation.
• Ensure secure authentication and authorization implementation.
• Work closely with DevOps on CI/CD, deployments, environments and infrastructure.
• Support QA teams with functional, integration, regression and API testing strategies.
• Identify technical risks and proactively recommend solutions.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for critical production issues.
• Mentor developers and improve engineering capability across the team.
• Manage and reduce technical debt while maintaining delivery speed.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to the platform.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7–10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience designing REST APIs and service integrations.
• Strong knowledge of React, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Experience leading full-stack engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of system architecture and application security.
• Experience with OAuth2, JWT and secure authentication mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of databases, transactions and data integrity.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and production deployments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with logging, monitoring and production support.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience conducting technical reviews and setting development standards.
• Strong understanding of Git-based development workflows.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Leadership Expectations
