Job Description

  • We're seeking a skilled Linux Systems Administrator to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining the health and performance of our critical infrastructure.
  • You will be responsible for administering, troubleshooting, and optimizing our SUSE/RHEL Linux environment, ensuring smooth operations and high availability.
  • Proven experience in Linux system administration (minimum 2 years)
  • In-depth knowledge of SUSE/RHEL Linux administration, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Bash, Python, or Yaml scripting for automation
  • Familiarity with SUSE Manager or Red Hat Satellite (preferred)
  • Understanding of ZFS file system configuration
  • Experience with zone and container technologies (a plus)
  • Knowledge of cluster systems (SUSE/Ubuntu/Red Hat clusters, ZFS appliances, InfiniBand switches) is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day administration tasks for SUSE/RHEL Linux systems
  • Monitor system performance and resource utilization
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot system issues, including file system capacity, consistency, and integrity
  • Respond to hardware-related problems such as CPU, RAM, and disk failures
  • Install, configure, and manage software applications
  • Automate tasks using Bash, Python, or Yaml scripting
  • Utilize SUSE Manager or Red Hat Satellite for system management
  • Configure and manage ZFS file systems
  • Implement and manage zones and container configurations
  • Manage cluster systems, including SUSE/Ubuntu/Red Hat clusters, ZFS appliances, and InfiniBand switches
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues
