Sr Platform Developer- backend

Great platforms do not sell themselves, even inside a company. Developers adopt the tools their peers show them: in a meetup, in a demo, in a doc that finally makes something click. Intuit is hiring a Senior Developer Advocate in Bengaluru to be that peer for our India engineering community, one of Intuit's largest engineering hubs. You will join the Technical Product Marketing and Developer Advocacy team inside Developer Relations, focused on the platform capabilities developers rely on every day: observability, incident management, DevOps practices such as traffic management and progressive delivery, API management, and data platforms. Your job is to make these tools easier to discover, easier to onboard to, and genuinely adopted in real workflows.

This is a hands on builder role. You will run meetups and workshops, partner with local platform teams, create the content developers learn from (docs, tutorials, sample projects, and videos), and work on exciting developer projects that show platform capabilities in action. Just as importantly, you will advocate in the other direction: gathering what developers need and championing it with platform product and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate is a strong backend engineer who loves teaching, presenting, and building in public, with real empathy for the day to day experience of fellow developers.

Responsibilities

• Community: organize and run meetups, tech talks, and hands on workshops for Intuit's India developer community, and bring energy to internal developer events
• Adoption: partner with local platform teams to improve onboarding paths and grow adoption of observability, incident management, traffic management, API management, and data platform tools
• Content: create technical content developers learn from and engage with: blog posts, tutorials, sample projects, and recorded videos
• Documentation: write and improve docs and getting started guides in partnership with technical writers
• Developer projects: build demos, reference implementations, and internal tools that show platform capabilities in real workflows
• Advocacy: act as the voice of developers, gathering feedback and championing their needs with platform product and engineering teams
• Measurement: track adoption, onboarding friction, and engagement signals for your platform areas and use them to focus your work

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend foundation: building and operating services in production (Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python), Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD
• Hands on experience with at least two of: observability (metrics, logs, traces), incident management, traffic management or progressive delivery, API management, data platforms
• Experience running developer community programs: meetups, workshops, talks, or hackathons
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to turn complex platform concepts into docs, talks, and videos developers actually use
• Comfortable presenting to technical audiences and recording video content; on camera experience a plus
• Deep empathy for developer experience and day to day developer workflows
• Public presence (conference talks, open source contributions, technical blogs, or video channels) strongly preferred
