Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to design, develop, test, implement, and support scalable enterprise software solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java backend development, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), microservices architecture, and relational databases.

The candidate will take end-to-end ownership of software development activities, collaborate directly with customers and stakeholders, understand business requirements, and deliver reliable, high-performance IT solutions using industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the complete software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java.
• Build scalable and maintainable applications using microservices architecture.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services.
• Work with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to build, deploy, and support cloud-based solutions.
• Design, optimize, and maintain relational databases and SQL queries.
• Collaborate with customers to understand business requirements, technical needs, project scope, and deliverables.
• Identify technical challenges and recommend effective, scalable solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and follow coding standards and software engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot application issues and improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Participate in technical discussions, solution design, testing, and implementation.
• Support continuous improvement through the adoption of new technologies and development practices.

Required Skills

• 6–8 years of experience in Java development.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java-based backend application development.
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with REST API development and integrations.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing cloud-native applications.
• Knowledge of application performance optimization and scalability.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices.
• Experience working directly with customers on technical requirements and solution delivery.
