Job Description
- The Business Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for analyzing business requirements in order to model, design, deploy, and maintain data warehouse implementations for different customers across different verticals.
- This position reports to the Professional Services Manager and will work closely with a team to communicate with business stakeholders, customers, end users and team members to create, model, and deploy analytics and reporting applications that include dashboards, scorecards, and performance analytics.
- Translate business requirements into data models that lay the foundation for reporting and analytics.
- Assist in estimation, impact assessment and implementation planning.
- Model, design, and deploy data warehouses leveraging fact and dimension tables.
- Design and deploy ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services.
- Design and deploy cubes for multi-dimensional or tabular analysis.
- Interface with customers to gather requirements and scope projects.
Job Responsibilities
- 5+ years of experience with SQL/TSQL with good understanding of MDX and DAX.
- 3+ years of designing and working with dimensional models.
- Method facts and dimensions, star schemas, and data modeling techniques.
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, including SSIS and SSAS.
- 3+ years of experience designing and deploying ETL architectures and packages.
- Experience working with Azure and reporting tools a plus.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal cross-functional partners.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
