Software Engineering Intern – AI & Security

About the Role

Nirmata is looking for a Software Engineering Intern – AI Security to work primarily on AI Controls, AI security, and cloud-native security initiatives. You’ll work closely with our engineering team to build practical security controls for AI applications and workloads.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and improve AI security and governance controls.
• Build software components using Python, Go, Java, or similar languages.
• Work with AI/LLMs, Kubernetes, APIs, and cloud-native technologies.
• Research AI security risks and develop practical controls to address them.
• Write clean, tested, and maintainable code.
• Contribute to open-source projects and participate in code reviews.
• What We’re Looking For
• Final-year student pursuing CS, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related degree.
• Strong programming and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of Git, Linux, APIs, and software development fundamentals.
• Strong interest in AI security, cloud security, or Kubernetes.
• Prior LFX Mentorship experience or active open-source contributions are highly preferred.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Kyverno, AI/LLMs, or security projects is a plus.
