Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, and enhancing scalable software applications that support our IIoT and Industry 4.0 platforms.

You will work closely with software developers, IoT/automation engineers, product teams, and customers to build reliable applications that connect manufacturing data with business intelligence and operational insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and modules.
• Develop scalable and reliable backend and/or frontend applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and efficient code.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party APIs.
• Work with databases for data storage, retrieval, and optimization.
• Integrate software applications with IIoT, machine, sensor, and production data.
• Work on real-time data processing, dashboards, reports, and analytics.
• Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support.
• Collaborate with IoT, automation, QA, product, and operations teams.
• Understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
• Perform unit testing and participate in code reviews.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow software development best practices.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of applications.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Java / Python / .NET / Node.js or any relevant programming language.
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, and web services.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frontend frameworks such as React/Angular is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab and version control.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and debugging techniques.
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms.

Good to Have

• Experience working with Industrial IoT / IoT / Industry 4.0 applications.
• Knowledge of real-time data processing and machine-to-machine communication.
• Exposure to PLC, SCADA, MQTT, OPC-UA or industrial communication protocols.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure.
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, or DevOps practices.
• Experience developing manufacturing dashboards, analytics, or reporting applications.
• Understanding of OEE, production monitoring, traceability, and manufacturing processes.

Eronkan's products use real-time manufacturing data for areas including OEE, capacity utilization, root-cause analysis, production planning, traceability, and WIP management, making exposure to these areas particularly relevant for the role.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/MCA candidates are preferred.

Experience

1–4 years of experience in software development.

Freshers with strong programming fundamentals and relevant academic/projects in software development or IoT may also be considered.
