StartupMeu is a startup funding marketplace designed to connect ambitious startups with potential investors. We help startups showcase their businesses and funding requirements while enabling investors to discover and explore promising opportunities.

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer Intern who wants to build real-world products, work with modern web technologies, and gain hands-on experience in a startup environment.

🔧 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗢𝗻

As a MERN Stack Intern, you will work closely with our development team to build, improve, and maintain StartupMeu's web platform.

Your responsibilities will include

• Developing responsive web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js
• Building and integrating REST APIs
• Developing reusable and scalable React components
• Creating backend services and API endpoints using Node.js and Express.js
• Working with MongoDB databases, schemas, queries, and data relationships
• Integrating frontend applications with backend APIs
• Implementing authentication, authorization, and user management
• Debugging and resolving application issues
• Writing clean, maintainable, and reusable code
• Testing features and fixing bugs
• Working with Git/GitHub for version control
• Collaborating with designers and other developers
• Participating in code reviews and development discussions
• Learning and implementing best practices for application security, performance, and scalability

🎯 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿

We are looking for a fresher who is genuinely interested in software development and willing to learn.

Required

• Basic understanding of JavaScript
• Familiarity with React.js
• Basic knowledge of Node.js and Express.js
• Basic understanding of MongoDB
• Understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
• Familiarity with REST APIs
• Basic knowledge of Git and GitHub
• Good problem-solving and logical-thinking skills
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Good communication and teamwork skills

⭐ 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲

These are not mandatory but will be an advantage

• Experience building personal or academic MERN projects
• Knowledge of TypeScript
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS / Bootstrap
• Understanding of JWT authentication
• Basic knowledge of cloud deployment
• Experience working with GitHub
• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development

🎓 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

• Recent graduates or final-year students in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related fields
• Freshers are welcome to apply
• Candidates with strong personal/academic projects are encouraged to apply
• Candidates should have a strong interest in building web applications
